An impressive three night stand at one of the finest venues The West Coast has to offer. The floor of The Wiltern was packed with folks who flew out for this tour-opening weekend and a stellar week-to-come leading them to Santa Fe for two nights then on to Red Rocks the following weekend. Not too shabby. This weekend was peppered by random appearances during drums by Carrot Top (at least we think so -- can anybody confirm?) plus Sunday night's post-drums jamming with Lonnie Jordan on organ and keys. Jordan, in addition to his work with T.Rex and Lee Oskar, was a founding member of Eric Burdon's War, and co-author of War's R&B staple "Low Rider."
