An incredible weekend of music with all kinds of cross-mojonation.
On
Saturday Trey came out to play with Les Claypool, Derek Trucks sat
in with Trey, and then Les joined Derek toward the end of "Night
Speaks to a Woman." The 40-piece Extra Action Marching Band
(with Les holding up the rear on tuba) lured the crowd away from
the main stage Saturday night to the late night party Perry Farrell
was throwing, complete with scantilly-clad fire-eating women, liquid
light projections, and DJ's spinning into the wee-wee hours.
Sunday
featured an incredible line up including Mother Hips, Cornershop,
Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Galactic (with Robert Randolph
sitting in), Elvis Costello, and, of course, Trey to close it all
out. San Francisco guitarist Will Bernard sat in for a 32 minute
"Last Tube" which was the centerpiece of the show.
Stay
tuned for music from this amazing weekend in the Motherlode.
