Pre-show anticipation:

Word on the street is that "Dance of the Mother Fuckin' Freaks" had all the trimmings of yet another greasssssy psychedelic night at the Dream Palace. With Ed Volker performing solo to warm up the night - Fishheads will agree it's more than just a "Sailor's Delight." It had been four years since The Krewe of Snafu set its sails in New Orleans waters, but the re-opening of the Dream Palace had once again, went absolutely fucking crazy.

"Dance of the Mother Fuckin' Freaks"

Well, the show turned out to be one of the wildest parties the band has ever played (MOM's Ball aside). The streets were certainly filled with women and I know a few who even found romance (in the bathroom stalls). There was madness in the air and Frenchmen Street re-lived its glory days, however there were mixed reviews among the fishheads as to the quality of the set list. Being a Snafu gig, the band has to dig down for that pearl in the oyster . There were not that many here at this show. Nonetheless, the show rocked and "old leatherface" reared his ugly head to finish us all off with a shredding "Chainsaw."
