This year Medeski Martin & Wood held the formidable late night spot on Saturday night. Galactic's late night set from Bonnaroo 2002 was a tough act to follow. The rain crept in just at the end of the Panic set, and while it did not come down heavy, it made for some interesting night time navigation through the mud. MMW were in full swing by the time we made it over to their tent, with Luther Dickinson from the North Mississippi All Stars on stage adding some beefy slide guitar to the MMW groove machine. Cyro and his Beat The Donkey drum ensemble came on stage to close out the first set.

Jumping back and forth across Centeroo the rest of the night you could amble between the Flaming Lips doing "Breathe" from Dark Side and the Antibalas horns pumping away on "Lively Up Yourself" during MMW's second set. After the sweet "Moti Mo" encore it was time for a little Particle...
